What you need
egg

tsp vanilla extract
cup heavy cream
Instructions
in a saucepan, add in the heavy cream, vanilla and salt. mix and heat over medium to low heat until it starts to simmer- about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat. Then, in a large bowl add in 5 egg yolks, (save the whites and make some eggs), and 1/2 cup of sugar. Whisk for 1-2 minutes or until mixture is smooth, creamy and light yellow. Next, slowly add in the cream mixture little by little, whisking slowly so ensure you don’t scramble the eggs. Pour cream into 6oz or 7oz ramekins that are placed inside of baking dish. Next, add boiling water into the baking dish, until they cover the ramekins halfway and bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are firm and the center giggles. Carefully remove the ramekins from the baking dish (they will be hot) and place them in the fridge to set for a minimum of 2-3 hours, or overnight. When ready, add on a sprinkle more of cane sugar, and then use a blow torch or caramelize the sugar. If you don’t have a blow torch, you can broil the ramekins in the oven, just watch carefully as it will go fast.View original recipe
